I'm not trying to copy MJ's swagger. It's just that I've been out of action for a while and now I'm back.

Hi, everybody.

Starting tomorrow, I'm going to be posting a series of personal Worst Ofs. The top ten players I hate, the top ten teams I hate, the top ten playoff series I hated. On Friday, assuming people are interested, I'm going to run a mail bag-type post. So leave your questions here and I'll have 'em answered on Friday.

Does the Javaris Crittenton murder situation change your opinion on Gilbert Arenas at all?

There are some plays that are absolutely bawful for everyone because of the nature of the play (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rh2fn01cngg) but I'm curious about what is your most personally bawful single play or possession.

I'm a blazers fan, so for me it's got to be the most recent time Greg Oden's knee shattered into a million glittering pieces. Like a disco ball (seems appropriate given his age). First off, it wasn't some big important play or a big important game. He wasn't laying it all on the line. There was no villain giving him a flying dragon kick to the knee. There was nothing even remotely redeeming about this injury. Just sheer tragedy. Things were finally turning around, he was putting together some good performances, the blazers were looking good then ...

Well, it's kind of like a day when you have a terrible morning. But for some reason after lunch things are looking up. Then some kid playing baseball lets go off the bat mid swing as you're walking by a park and the bat sails through the air and hits you square in the groin. There's no rhyme or reason, no one that you can blame, just a crushing pain and the realization that your day, that was finally looking up, just took a turn for the infinitely worse and there's really no way to turn it around again.

Wow, apparently I have stronger feeling about that then I thought ... so yeah. What's the most bawful play or possession for you personally that you've ever seen?

YEEAAAHHH!!! Very excited to have you back.

What effect (if any) do you see the lockout having on your personal enjoyment of NBA basketball? And how will a strike change your day-to-day since you won't have to watch all those games?

I look forward to hearing your opinions.

A) Shaquille O'Neal
B) Eddy Curry
C) Oliver Miller
D) Latrell Sprewell, since all of his money goes to raising his dozens of kids

Dear Bawful,

why does God hate the Blazers?

Welcome back, I hope it was something good and not something bad that kept you away. Also, Evil Ted deserves some props for holding the throttle while you were gone.

One big question: When Lebron was in Cleveland the consensus was that Mike Brown held him back along with the supporting cast. Now that LBJ has the support he wants, and Mike Brown is with LA, who do you think will be more successful this season, providing we have one?

While you're busy sharing the hate, how about the top ten officials you hate? And how about a top ten national basketball media figures you hate (TV crews/commentators/sportswriters/whatever)?

Thanks in advance.

The problem with "bawfulest" is that we usually never see them play, so it's sort of a parade of no-names who spend a couple of years in the league. Not much fun.

Welcome back!

welcome back :)

I consider some of the modern nba rules & regulations absolutely bawful and detrimental to the purity of the game, if you could change one to make the nba a better basketball league (and less of a WWE with balls and hoops) what would it be?

I'd lose that under the basket semi-circle protected area. A charge should be a charge anywhere on the court.

@spinetingler: agree 100%, actually that shitty semi-circle is the main inspiration for the question...there are more obviously...I'd be glad to continue the discussion in the mailbag post if basketbawful decides to use my question :)

Should players be allowed to wear different designs and colors on their team shorts ?
I watch the NBA on TV in Europe - having not been brought up watching basketball , I honestly find it hard to recognise players .
Why not allow different colored shorts for guards , centers and forwards ?
A great opportunity to raise awareness and marketability

With the lock out - this is the perfect chance to reorganise the league
A- Knock out cup mid-season ?
B- Play 62 regular season games- but more play-off games ?
C- Different colored shorts worn by players

I took a hiatus from basketball after the Finals....and by hiatus I mean I haven't read a book, watched an old game or wrote an article in a good 3 1/2 months.

Hopefully the lockout ends soon so this site can get back to normal with the bawfullness.
