Did Bruce Bowen really mean to knee Steve Nash in his fleshy man parts? Of course he did.

Did Steve Nash really mean to execute a "Smash of the Seven Assasins" on Kobe's fandangled mandangler? I certainly hope so.

Extra: Bowen has also been pulling off his infamous "foot defense" during these playoffs...

Man, Sean Marion pulled a Three Stooges eye gouge on Ginobili in game 3.

I have viewed the tape 73 times, and I think Marion was trying to gouge out an eyeball, and I also think, from watching the tape, that Marion wants to eat babies.

Now I have scourged through Youtube videos and I found three other instances where Marion has hit other players in the face. Marion should be tried for attempted murder, it is just that simple.

And don't get me started about Amare's junk in the trunk K.O'ing Michael Finley, that was a clear case of a hate crime.

Oh, wait. These guys were just playing basketball. I will just enjoy the game.

Well, Shawn Marion does eat babies. But, in all fairness, babies are nutritious and packed with flavor.

I think the nut kick on Nash was half unintentional, half "hey' you're in my space and I'm just going to step forward because my foot has to go somewhere". Nash was too close to him to begin with. Bowen gets a pass on this one.

But the rest? No. Submarining people when they're coming down after a shot is cheap, dirty and dangerous.

Bowen is a danger to the NBA - people will sing a different tune when he ends someone's career because he can't play defense properly. it's only a matter of time.

In a pick up game, people who pull dirty shit like Bowen does usually get their faces punched in or at the very least, not invited back.

Man, I'm trying to convince myself that I'm a good person. I should really stop laughing every time I see Kobe getting physically assaulted.

An eye gouge vs. making a player twist his ankle. Which is worse? Ginobli still played well after he got an eye gouge.

After seeing those videos of Bruce Bowen it is apparent that he is a at least a cheap player who will do anything to gain an advantage. Dirty? I don't think he wants to injure anyone, but indeed cheap!

I see your point, but as you say afterward, that crap wouldn't fly in a pickup game. Play would stop, you'd stare the guy down, and everybody would stand their in silence waiting to see if you were going to punch the guy. You don't ever, EVER risk a shot at another man's family jewels. That's Man Law.

Riley, you can still be a good person and enjoy seeing Kobe assaulted. In fact...it makes you a better person.

Hey nugg. I agree. And what I hate most about Bowen is the fact that he won't even cop to the fact that he's cheap-shotting people. At least when Bill Laimbeer or Rick Mahorn popped you, they kind of stared you down and said, "Let's go." Bowen always tries to look all innocent when he does it. Which, oddly, makes him even less respectable.

I accidentally discovered your blog this evening, and I wasted more than two hours reading random entries and completely ignoring the Suns-Spurs postgame conferences and analysis blaring in the background. And I have a moderately huge paper due tomorrow...
Anyway, I wanted to say how much I appreciate and sympathize with most of what you have written (especially your almost completely irrelevant and effusive adulation of Reggie Miller), and I will certainly follow up in the future, despite the fact that I never bother with blogs.
Sincerely,
Another Truly Depressed and Cynical ...yet Impossibly Optimistic... Pacers Fan

Hellow boomer's babe. It's always good to hear from another Pacers fan. I imagine this is how Holocaust survivors feel when they meet each other. "You've gone through the same pain and horror I have? Whey...I, I love you!"

As for my praise of Reggie, it's only because he's a god made flesh, set upon this earth to help us understand greatness in the face of adversity. All praise his name!
